TAYLOR RESIDENCE

Designed and built in 1996 by Kendall Taylor along with family and friends, his family home received an NSAA Award of Merit in 1999. The house takes advantage of passive solar heating through glazing and central living spaces, while the main post and beam frame was constructed from trees that once stood on the property. Natural and durable materials were chosen where possible and the house was located to maximize the preservation of the surrounding habitat.
